The Bonus Days Foundation was inspired by Gypsy, a tiny dog with a big spirit who was diagnosed with an aggressive mast cell tumor in march 2025. Early in her journey, one of her oncologists explained that her cancer would never be cured but the goal of treatment would be to give us as many bonus days with her as possible. That perspective changed everything. Every walk, every snuggle, and every sunny afternoon became something to celebrate.

the bonus days foundation exists to support dogs facing cancer and the families who love them. inspired by gypsy’s journey, our mission is to provide comfort, resources, and community so that every dog diagnosed with cancer can experience more sunshine, more love, and more bonus days.
gypsy’s story
Gypsy may be small, but her spirit has never been.
With her tiny ponytail, snaggletooth smile, and sunshine-loving personality, she has always had a way of turning ordinary moments into something special.
In 2025, Gypsy was diagnosed with cancer. What followed was a journey that taught us something we will never forget: that life isn’t measured in years, but in bonus days.
Her story became the inspiration behind The Bonus Days Foundation.

The Bonus Days Foundation is currently in the early stages of becoming an official nonprofit organization.
Inspired by Gypsy’s cancer journey and the concept of “bonus days,” this foundation was created to help dogs battling cancer receive care that can give them more time with the people who love them.
We believe in transparency and want to share our progress as we work to build something meaningful for the dog community.
